The Grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Part 1
Sunday, June 29, 2008
“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.” Philippians 4:23
As Paul pens the last words of this wonderful epistle to the church at Philippi, his expression is rich and full of meaning. What a wonderful theme is grace! Grace indicates that although we are unworthy, we are given something we don’t deserve. Grace reveals the truth that salvation if of the Lord from start to finish and that it includes not only His saving mercy but the daily benefits He bestows on us.
The book of Philippians begins and ends with the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and it is mentioned over 40 times. While the theme of joy permeates this epistle, it is in Jesus Christ and by His grace that this joy is found.

For many people, even Christians, there is a persistent and tragic disconnect between the narrative and instruction that they see in the Bible, and the problems, challenges, and opportunities that they experience in their daily lives. It is our purpose to bridge this great divide with teaching that has depth and gravity, but is at the same time accessible and relatable. To this end, for over 50 years the Baptist Bible Hour has been broadcasting the Word of God, with a particular emphasis on the sovereignty of God in personal salvation and in every detail of life.
